Our Main Event team is looking good through Week 3. We need our health to stay like it has been through 3 weeks. Unfortunately, some bad health is probably on the horizon but this is still quite a deep team and can overcome a few injuries. The bye weeks should allow us to flex our muscles in that regard. We currently reside 27th out of 876 teams overall.

Danielle's team has to get through an injury rash this week as two of the RB's she has are questionable this week. Danielle has a stable of quality at the RB position so should they decide to sit we can manage. I still feel her team has even more upside then mine and she is 195 out of 876 overall even though top pick Ray Rice has been quite slow out of the gate. She is poised to do damage in a week or two. It's ok to start steady and peak late. Those teams are the one's that win big money.

Our Auction team is number 2 overall in the Auction format which awards 10,000 to the winner after 16 weeks. I don't think we'll be able to win the overall unless I make some real quality pick-ups. Our depth is a bit questionable so a healthy team throughout would certainly help in that regard. We have a very solid team though but a long way to go. We remain on the path towards a chance at a league championship.

Our Invitational League is not a great team. They are ok, but have lost Turner, Bush, and Garcon early to injury. Those may catch up to us in the long haul. We will have to make the playoffs on record to win the whole thing as this team just doesn't have the explosiveness to keep up. At 2-1 though we are hanging in there.

Week 3: The Rollercoaster is ascending again...

Well, believe it or not we are poised to go 4-0 this week!!!! If Greg Jennings of the Packers gets 6 points(well within his grasp) we will have all four teams win their match-ups.

This week was a great week for us, as our teams not only scored a pretty solid number of points, but also came out of an injury riddled Sunday not too bad off. Danielle's team had a couple RB's get dinged up but they returned to action and looked none worse for the wear.

Ray Ray's Revenge Main event team had a 40 point day from Anquan Boldin and is in position to have TE Jermichael Finley push us toward the 170 point mark. Thanks in part to solid contributions from our Atlanta duo (Matt Ryan and Roddy White), Arian Foster(17 points), Darren McFadden (20 points), and our new addition Kicker Mike Nugent (10 points). Also encouraging was 6th round pick Chris "Beanie" Wells returned to action looking great running for 75 yards on only 14 carries. We are at 153.7 with Jermichael to play tonight. Hoping for at least 17 points from the big TE.

Rae Rae's Revenge Main Event team had a solid day putting up 137.4 with TE Jermichael Finley going yet. Danielle's team hasn't hit on all cylinders quite yet but was one of the very few teams with Roy Williams starting (28.7 points). Coupled with the 24.4 points from Santana Moss her WR's are doing a lot better than I thought so far and are making up for below average production from a stacked backfield. I am still quite encouraged by her potential and feel she certainley can be a factor in her league.

Ray Ray's Revenge Auction league has only 87 points so far but has quite a few guys yet to play. QB Jay Cutler and K Robbie Gould of the Bears with also Jermichael Finley and Donald Driver of the Packers. With a bit of good fortune they can make a push certainly for 140 and possibly the 150 mark. Ahmad Bradshaw continued his nice start to the year and LaDainain Tomlinson had a nice 17 point week in his first start of the year.

Ray Ray's Revenge Invitational team wasn't that great points wise but need just 6 points out of WR Greg Jennings to get a much needed win over the current first place team in our division. We would force a tie for first now and at 2-1 perhaps go on a winning streak. This team is having some depth problems so I will have to be solid on the waiver wire in the next few weeks to remedy the injuries.

SO all in all it was a good day and hopefully Monday Night proves even better. Cheer for Cutler, Gould, Jennings, Driver, Finley with the Packers coming out on top in the end.

Thanks to my lovely girlfriend you can click on Anquans name in the above article to see some of the highlights of his terrific game.

Week 2- Didn't think there would be days like this...

Well, as good as Week 1 was in terms of finding the win column, Week 2 kind of kicked back at us leaving us on the edge of going 0-4. I am not to concerned however as a few of our teams still scored ok points wise. It's going to happen some weeks and although I have grown accustomed to winning match-ups frequently I do understand how volatile it can be.

Ray Ray's Revenge-Main Event league is still holding out hope that a win can happen as we enter the SF/NO game down 132.55 to 120.15(12.4 down) The only player we have is K Joe Nedney. Our chances are not good at winning this match up, but it is possible. It's never bad to look at your week as below average to still come close to 130. Go Joe!!!!!

Rae Rae's Revenge took one on the chin this week but with M. Crabtree and J. Nedney they have a score of 116.95. If Danielle's team can climb to 130+ I consider it an ok week. She will lose game 1 on the season but with the RB depth she has she will certainly make things up when the bye weeks roll around.

Ray Ray's Revenge Auction league also took it on the chin from our opponents. Only scoring 120.25 is disappointing but not disastrous.

The invitational suffered the worst week of all our teams as our first round pick was injured in the first quarter and never returned. We had a few guys score under what they normally would. It is bad when you can't put up more than 100 points in a week and it appears the invitational team is destined to do it.

Hang in there, we will survive :)

The Draft and week 1

As you know I drafted in the World Championships of Fantasy Football this weekend and with your confidence and money feel like I have put ourselves in a good spot. You can't win league titles with a draft alone but you can certainly lose it. Arian Foster was the big hit and with all the time I put in watching games this preseason he certainly was the "big prize". Arian has to remain healthy though while staying consistant and he will have a place among the Big 3 RB's.

Vegas was more buisness like this year as I never was able to really take in anything on the Strip or downtown. It was ok though because the main goal is to make sure I(we) have fun for the next few months instead of one weekend. Our teams see a similar theme running through them regarding players and that was to be expected.

My buddy Scott Krakauer did an awesome job helping me manage the auction draft and I couldn't have done it without him. Thanks bud. The auction plan was to not spend on any big name talent but I quickly was sidetracked when Chris Johnson of the Titans was going to go for 45 bucks. I started to raise up the other owner who I think thought that I wanted him too. He ended up nearly going to me for 57 bucks which would have dismantled the team we have today. He tried to up me a few more bucks though and I bowed out sending a frustrated look on his face as he realized he may be in trouble.

The other drafts went according to plan for the most part. Some players were taken right before me so I had to adjust on the fly and to be honest where I seperate myself from others is the ability to do that. I had an idea of different scenerios and feel I made the correct moves. Time will time if Beanie Wells gets healthy and produces but I remain confident he will.

Our season couldn't have started better really as we are poised to go 4-0 to start the year barring a miracle by a team we play. We have WR Boldin (#81), RB Rice (#27) going tonight on Baltimore's team. Our Auction was the number 1 scoring team so far in that format so we need to keep the momentum going. We also have some room for improvement so all-in-all a good start. A long way to go though. I leave you with our MVP of week 1, Arian Foster.

Slowly and surely... I am dialed in.

It's been a fun ride the last month and a half preparing for the 2010 Main Event Championships in Las Vegas. At times during the preparation process I usually go through the occasional bump in the road. This year was no exception and although at times it felt like I was lost in the fog of player names, teams, bye weeks etc. I have emerged as in the past with a renewed confidence that I have assembled a well thought out, plan of attack that is sure to be executed come Saturday.

I couldn't have done it without my beautiful girlfriend, who has given up a few hours each night and space on the DV-R for football games. She is a tremendous partner to have; always there to comfort me when I feel tired or frustrated or lost. I love you Tara Jo. My Investment team will be happy to know that the names I list will more likely than not be the team we go to battle with on a weekly basis. They are the best of the best, they are young and hungry, some motivated to prove themselves, and others striving to keep being great. The following is the draft plan I have conceived and map I will follow with unquestioned confidence...

QB- Eli Manning NYG(Rd. 7) - Eli is my riskiest placement among my picks. He may go before I pick in the 7th. If he does, I will go Matt Ryan. Eli is poised to put up stellar numbers this year based on the weapons at his disposal and nice schedule. He will be a guy we can rely on week in and week out.

QB- Matt Ryan ATL(Rd. 9) - Matt will hopefully provide us a stellar back-up with upside. On a team with upside, he will team up with WR Roddy White to provide us a potent quick strike play from week to week.

QB- Sam Bradford STL(Rd. 16) - Rookie Bradford has shown flashes of ability in the preseason and it's because of him that Danny Amendola will be a solid contributor this year.

RB- Arian Foster HOU(Rd. 2) - Arian originally was going to be selected by me in the 3rd round but a big game in the preseason sent his stock soaring. He will have to shoulder the pressure of our team as the Number 1 RB. I feel he is in position to have a breakout season. If he fails, we may also fail. I have utmost confidence in his ability and role in their offense.

RB- Ahmad Bradshaw NYG(Rd. 3) - Ahmad is my sleeper RB and because of where we pick in the draft I have to commit early to him. He has question marks, but also ability and a great supporting cast. Our backs will need to play well for us to really reach our potential.

RB- LaDainian Tomlinson NYJ(Rd. 8) LT has a lot to prove and I am betting he does it to the tune of 12 TD's and 50 catches.

RB- Darren McFadden OAK(Rd. 6) Run DMC has been a disappointment thus far in his 2 years as a Raider but I am banking on a solid role that will lead to success.

RB- Marshawn Lynch BUF(Rd. 11) Marshawn may get traded early in the season and could benefit with an increase role.

RB- Ike Redmond PIT(Rd. 13) Pittsburgh's back-up RB will hopefully get a chance to be the starter after a few games. Also is the goaline back for Pit.

RB- James Davis CLE(Rd. 14) May be a guy who takes over in Cleveland and leads them in rushing. Good at catching passes.

WR- Roddy White ATL(Rd. 1) Our number 1 WR has a good supporting cast and terrific all around ability and skill. Roddy has also not missed a game in his 6 years as an NFL WR. He needs to give us that consistent level of play week in/out to take the pressure off our young compliments at WR.

WR- Dez Bryant DAL(Rd. 5) Dez will maybe take a while to get going but when the money weeks come he will repay us for drafting him. He has ridicules skill and plays on a high scoring offense. People have forgotten about him this preseason and he will soon make several owners sad they didn't see it coming.

WR- Mike Williams SEA (Rd. 10) Seattle's Mike Williams needs to just stay healthy and he will provide solid catch numbers and be perfect for our number 3 WR.

WR- Danny Amendola STL (Rd. 12) He is a personal favorite of mine and I feel he has the potential to be really good this year. Bradford will look his way a lot this year and he will succeed in getting open.

WR-Sammy Stroughter TB (Rd. 15) Sammy is my kind of guy. Quick, elusive, with great ball skills. He could be a breakout guy that many will wish they drafted.

WR- Anthony Armstrong WAS (Rd. 20) Armstrong could be a starter very soon and have a good campaign with Donavon McNabb at QB.

TE- Jermichael Finley GB (Rd. 4) Jermichael is a beast. He won me my league last year with a 2 TD game against Baltimore. He may be gone and if that's the case I will look at Gates. If both are gone I will take WR Hakeem Nicks and thus take a TE later. I am only going to draft 1 TE and hopefully Jermichael is a pillar of health.

K- David Akers PHI(Rd. 17) Great Kicker, good offense for FG's

D/ST- Houston Texans (Rd. 19)

D/ST- Tennessee (Rd. 18)

I have a similar plan in the Auction League and Danielle's team also. One of the focal points of this year that I tried to focus on was to find quality players that play on quality teams and play along side quality QB's. I feel very good about this group of guys. Let's see how many I get on Saturday. I leave you now with a highlight tape of our Number one pick Roddy White of the Atlanta Falcons.
